Our client's established Midlands portfolio encompasses a broad range of services, with a particular focus on supported living and elderly residential care. The group's current footprint covers nearly 100 beds across these provisions, with active plans for expansion in the near future. For an experienced Operations Manager, this role represents an exciting opportunity to drive strategic growth while overseeing a diverse range of existing services.
About the Role:
As Regional Head of Care Operations for the Midlands, your primary focus will be supported living and learning disabilities services, with additional oversight of the group's elderly care home provisions.
Key responsibilities for the Head of Operations include:
- Providing operational leadership across a diverse, multi-site portfolio
- Supporting and performance managing Registered Managers
- Maintaining strong relationships with commissioners and local authorities
- Contributing strategically to the commissioning of new supported living services
- Managing occupancy, CQC compliance, staffing, and budgets across all provisions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives as Head of Operations
- Reporting on operational performance and supporting wider strategic planning
Skills and Experience Required:
The ideal Head of Operations candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant experience in operations management roles within care groups
- A strong background in supported living and learning disabilities services
- Exposure to elderly residential care provision (ideally)
- A proven track record of working effectively with commissioners
- Excellent working knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory standards
- Experience managing and developing Registered Managers across multiple services
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
- A base in or around the Midlands region
