Leading care delivery and supporting the management team to oversee service quality and staff training.
Location: Wantage and South Oxfordshire communities.
Purpose of Position: To lead the care team in delivering high-quality person‑centred care and maintaining CQC standards.
Main Duties:
- Assisting with daily activities
- Medication management
- Social time
- Shopping
- Hydration
- Conduct service user reviews, monitor paperwork, ensure care plans are up to date, perform spot checks on support workers
- Visit new service users for assessments, ensure contracts and documentation are signed
- Support supervision of support workers, attend meetings to review care concerns and administrative updates
- Conduct unannounced supervisory visits and record outcomes
- Train and integrate new support workers, undertake specialised champion courses
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and audits
- Deputise for Supervisor or Deputy Manager; take on‑call phone when required
- Ensure equipment and protective clothing are available
- Transcribe MAR charts and update service user files monthly or when medication changes
- Perform other reasonable duties as required
