Second Chef
- Leading the team in the smooth running of the kitchen operation
- Developing nutritious and diet-sensitive meals for residents and their requirements
- Menu design and planning
- Managing stock control and adhering to food cost guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with both Food Safety and Health and Safety in the kitchen
- Training, supervising and developing a team to maximise their potential
What you’ll need
- Catering Diploma (City & Guilds/BTEC) and NVQ 2/3 in practical cookery and Health and Safety
- Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum level 2)
- Good knowledge of nutritionally balanced menu planning and the ability to cater for specific dietary needs
- Experience working in a care home and/or stock control or budgeting is an advantage but not essential

- Maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas
- Preparation of produce for mealtime, e.g. vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches

- Ensuring all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to required standards
- Carrying out any tasks assigned by the Head/Second Chef or Home Manager
Customer Relations Manager
- Based at our Abney Court care home in Cheadle, you will promote Abney Court through community relationships, events, and PR, ensuring a high level of customer service for each enquiry.
- Achieve targets for resident occupancy and average weekly fee
- Promote the care home and drive enquiries through events, sponsorships and PR
- Communicate accurate information to prospective clients about our facilities, services and prices
- Monitor competitor landscape and identify market opportunities
- Collaborate with the Home Manager and Head of Departments
- Complete all required reports accurately and on time
- Available for evening and weekend meetings and events as required
Care Team Leader
- Leading and supervising your shift
- Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the best care plans are created and delivered
