Second Chef

The Role

  • Lead the team in the smooth running of the kitchen operation.
  • Develop nutritious and diet‑sensitive meals for residents and cater to their requirements.
  • Design and plan menus.
  • Manage stock control and adhere to food cost guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety in the kitchen.
  • Train, supervise and develop a team to help them reach their potential.

Qualifications

  • Catering Diploma (City & Guilds/BTEC) and NVQ 2/3 in practical cookery.
  • Health and Safety & Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum level 2).
  • Good knowledge of nutritionally balanced menu planning and capability to cater for specific dietary needs.
  • Experience in a care home or with stock control/ budgeting is desirable.

Catering Assistant

The Role

  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
  • Prepare produce for mealtime – vegetable preparation and sandwich making.
  • Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
  • Safely store cleaning materials.
  • Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to required standards.
  • Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager.

Care Team Leader / Care Assistant

The Role

  • Lead and supervise your shift.
  • Case‑manage residents and liaise with families, health‑care professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the best care plans are created and delivered.
  • Administer and record medication.
  • Carry out risk assessments.
  • Work alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to develop services.

Registered General Nurse

The Role

  • Provide outstanding leadership for care staff.
  • Support residents with complex needs and dependency levels.
  • Provide clinical nursing – medication management, infection prevention and control procedures, e.g., wound care, catheter management.
  • Continuously strive towards ensuring clinical excellence within the home.
  • Develop tailored care plans to deliver excellence across everything you do.

Customer Relations Manager

The Role

  • Achieve targets for resident occupancy and average weekly fee.
  • Promote the care home and drive enquiries through events, sponsorships and PR.
  • Communicate accurate information to prospective clients about facilities, services and prices.
  • Monitor competitor landscape and identify market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager and Head of Departments.
  • Complete all required reports accurately and on time.
  • Available for evening and weekend meetings and events as required.
