We are seeking a compassionate, maternal and reliable Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children while engaging them in educational and fun activities. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children, as well as being a tidy/organised person when around the house. The candidate can live in or live out during days on during the week; ideal days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8am to 8pm. Travelling with the family on holidays is a must for the role, which involves caring for 4 children in total (nearly 1, 3, 9 & 11).
Duties:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Assist with homework and educational tasks, fostering a love for learning
- Prepare meals and snacks as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and organised environment for the children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Drive children to school, extracurricular activities, or playdates when necessary
- Housekeeping duties such as laundry, putting away clothes & toys, simple admin tasks
Skills:
- Proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus
- Experience in childcare or nannying is highly desirable
- Strong teaching abilities to assist with educational tasks
- Excellent driving skills with a valid driving licence
- Ability to create engaging activities that stimulate children's growth
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with both children and parents
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in various situations
- Any medical knowledge or background in type 1 diabetes is a plus
