Are you an experienced care professional with a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Extra Care Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our Extra Care service, ensuring outstanding care, excellent staff leadership, and full regulatory compliance. About the Role

As Extra Care Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient management of the service. You will lead and inspire your team, ensuring customers receive compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities - please note this is not an exhausted list

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Extra Care service.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of coordinators, supervisors and care staff.
  • Ensure safe, person-centred care is delivered in line with company policies and CQC standards.
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance.
  • Complete customer assessments, risk assessments and personalised care plans.
  • Promote customers' dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing at all times.
  • Monitor quality, investigate incidents and complaints, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and infection prevention and control requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and work flexibly to meet service needs.
  • Represent the service professionally at external meetings and within the local community.

About You

You will be a compassionate and organised leader with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding care.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing care services within an Extra Care, domiciliary care or similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of person-centred care, safeguarding, risk assessment and care planning.
  • Good understanding of the responsibilities of a Registered Manager and relevant care legislation.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience recruiting, developing and supervising staff.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
  • Financial or business management experience.
  • Train the Trainer qualification.
  • Knowledge of business development and service growth.
