Care Success Services Limited (CSSL) is a specialist care provider based in Manchester. Our Day Centre delivers a safe, structured and creative environment for adults with autism, learning disabilities, complex needs and significant communication difficulties. We work closely with families, carers and the City Council to provide individualised programmes that inspire independence, creativity and meaningful daily living.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Day Centre Coordinator to take a lead role in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of our Day Centre provision. This is a rewarding full-time position offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults with Special Educational Needs, learning disabilities and autism.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the daily running of the Day Centre, ensuring a structured, safe and person-centred environment
  • Planning, preparing and delivering activities that promote life skills, independence, social development and wellbeing
  • Adapting programmes to meet a range of needs including autism, learning disabilities, communication needs and sensory or physical impairments
  • Supporting clients to achieve individual outcomes as identified in their care and support plans
  • Collaborating with families, carers, social workers, therapists and other professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records, progress notes and reports
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using person-centred approaches
  • Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and organisational policies are upheld at all times
  • Providing guidance and support to support workers and volunteers
  • Supporting EHCP review processes and contributing to the setting of future goals and targets
  • Deputising for the Day Centre Manager as required

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with individuals with SEN, in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver structured activity or learning programmes
  • Experience responding to behaviour that challenges, with a proactive and planned approach
  • Strong understanding of inclusive and person-centred practice
  • Excellent communication skills — with adults with SEN, families and multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills (equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in English and Maths)
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in an adult day centre, supported living or social care setting
  • Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010 and Health and Social Care Act 2008
  • Training in autism, positive behaviour support or learning disability care

Contract Details

  • Full time — 35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 4:30pm
  • Salary benefits: Free parking, company pension
