Senior Care & Support Assistant

Pay rate: £13.25 per hour

You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

Hours: Full time (includes working alternate weekends)

Come and join our brand-new team at Care South, Marjorie House – a spectacular 50 bed specialist dementia and residential care home in Lilliput, Poole.

Our new purpose-built Art Deco building has stunning views over Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island and will be opening in September 2024.

You’ll be able to support our residents in a safe and caring environment where they can live their lives as if in the comfort of their own home.

What you will be doing:

• Working alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift
• Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person centred care.
• Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible.
• Providing companionship – really getting to know them!
• Acting as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home.
• Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home.

Who we are looking for:

Someone who is naturally caring and compassionate!

We want someone who can make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, you will need to be able to inspire and nurture your team to be at their best every day.

You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

With your previous care experience, you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning and administering medication.
