Overview
Senior Night Care & Support Assistant – Location: Abbotsham Bideford, EX39 5BE. 21.00 hours to 07.00am, alternate weekends off. Pay Rate: £13.25 per hour + paid breaks. This is a role within Care South, a not-for-profit charity focused on rewarding and recognising our people. We are a residential care home set in 30 acres of North Devon countryside. We work to provide person-centred care and support for residents, with a focus on independence, companionship and a welcoming atmosphere.
What you will be doing
- Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift
- Identify the individual needs and abilities of residents to deliver person-centred care
- Support residents to remain as independent as possible
- Provide companionship and get to know residents well
- Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home
- Work with the team to maintain a cooperative, friendly and welcoming home environment
Who we are looking for
- Someone who is naturally caring and compassionate and can positively impact residents' lives
- Ability to inspire and nurture the team to be at their best every day
- Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous care experience with knowledge of care planning and administering medication
