Kitchen Assistant

Location: Fern Brook Lodge – Gillingham – Dorset – SP8 4Q

Pay rate: £12.30 per hour

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week, including alternate weekends

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Fern Brook Lodge, our newly refurbished residential care home, serving the community in Gillingham and surrounding villages of North Dorset.

What you will be doing:

1. Support the Chef team with basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks, and drinks for residents
2. Assist in providing residents with an enjoyable dining experience daily
3. Keep kitchen and dining areas hygienic and clean
4. Wash all cooking appliances and crockery; sanitize all food preparation areas

Who are we looking for:

Previous kitchen experience is not essential but be prepared for a busy, fast-paced role.

A caring individual capable of supporting residents during mealtimes.

Flexible with working hours and willing to be part of our larger kitchen team.
