Pay: £13.30 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, to include alternate weekends
Shift Pattern: Between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities Team Lead, to join the team at Fairlawn, a spectacular 64 bed dementia and residential care home in Ferndown, Dorset. In this role you will be responsible for helping to plan and deliver an on-going programme of social activities for the home’s residents.
About You
You’re a warm, energetic, and outgoing individual who enjoys engaging with people and creating meaningful experiences. You have excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. With strong time management and organisational abilities, you’re able to plan and coordinate multiple activities while adapting to changing needs. Ideally you have experience in managing a small team. You thrive in a team environment, bringing positivity and collaboration to everything you do. About the Role
- Providing a range of imaginative and enjoyable social & therapeutic activities to our residents, some of whom are living with dementia.
- Managing an ongoing calendar of social events and activities for residents, covering their personal interests.
- Negotiating with suppliers, ordering materials, buying tickets, booking transport and arranging outings; to include the wider care team and friends & family of residents if appropriate.
- Researching and implementing new ideas, events and activities.
- Supervising the Activities Assistant team.
