Care South, a leading not for profit registered charity, have exciting opportunities for Domestic Care Assistants to join our Care at Home Service working at Strome Park and the local areas.

This community-based Domestic Care Assistant role will be supporting clients with a variety of needs including companionship visits, light domestic duties and fire alarm testing. it is desirable all applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. This position is offered on a bank hours contract. It would be an advantage if you had scope to complete additional hours as and when required.

This position is suitable for anyone looking for Cleaning, Domestic, Care Assistant, Home Care Assistant, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant roles.

Key duties for our Care Assistants include:

  • Identifying the needs and abilities of our clients and providing encouragement
  • Delivering all aspects of care including personal care when required, domestic support and meal preparation.
  • Supporting with community visits (shopping and leisure trips)
  • Cleaning and upkeep of communal areas
  • Regular communications with the office support team
  • Reflect our HEART values in your day-to-day work

About you:

  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential as Care South provide full training
  • Ideally holder of a driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Business insurance on vehicle or happy to obtain it
  • Flexible in the hours you can work, with some occasional weekend availability
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Holder of an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake
