About The Role
Role: Home Care Assistant
Location: Bridport
Pay: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour
Travel: £12.71 per hour + 40p per mile mileage allowance
Hours: Part-time hours, to include a variety of shifts and alternate weekends
Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 16:00 - 22:00
As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid for not just your contact time but also your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.
Care South, a leading not for profit charity, have exciting opportunities for Home Care Assistants to join our West Dorset Care at Home team, supporting clients with a variety of needs in their own homes.
This Home Care Assistants role is community-based; it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

About you:
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
- You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one
