Join Our Caring Community at Kenwith Castle!
Location: Kenwith Castle Care Home, Abbotsham, Bideford, North Devon EX39 5BE
Pay: £12.85 per hour
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working
Shift Patterns Available: We offer flexible shift patterns, with working hours being either 08:00 to 15:00 or 11:00 to 18:00. Exact start and finish times will be discussed and agreed with the Home Manager to support the needs of the home while taking your availability into consideration.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Kenwith Castle, our stunning residential and dementia care home situated in Bideford.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents.
- Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents' own rooms.
- Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents' clothing.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
- Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.
Who are we looking for:
- Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!
- A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.
- Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
