About The Role
- Role: Home Care Assistant
- Location: Various Locations including Crewkerne, Yeovil, Martock, Chard and Ilminster
- Pay: £13.50 per hour PLUS travel time and petrol expenses
- Hours: Bank Hours (Hours worked as required by the service, with no guaranteed hours. Applicants should be willing to work weekends as required)
- Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 16:00 - 22:00
Care South, a leading not for profit charity, have exciting opportunities for Home Care Assistants to join our Somerset Care at Home team, supporting clients with a variety of needs in their own homes in Various locations across Somerset. This Home Care Assistant role is community based, and it's essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid for not just your contact time but also your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

About You
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required.
- You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexible in the hours you can work and able to work every other weekend.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake one.
