About The Role

Location: Buxton House - Weymouth DT4 0QE

Pay rate: £13.25 per hour

Hours: Full time & Part Time available (to include alternate weekends)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care & Support Assistant to join the team at Buxton House, our purpose-built, friendly, social, residential and dementia care home, located near the historic Jurassic Coast in Weymouth, Dorset.

Join Our Team:

Buxton House are keen to meet someone who can make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will need to be able to inspire and nurture your team to be at their best every day. You'll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent). With your previous care experience, you will have the knowledge and understanding of care planning and administering medication. If this sounds like you then we would love for you to join the team!

What you will be doing:

  • Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to ensure they are supported and have guidance throughout their shift
  • Identifying the individual needs and abilities of our residents to allow you to deliver person centred care
  • Supporting residents to help them remain as independent as possible
  • Providing companionship - really getting to know them!
  • Act as point of escalation for any incidents or events in the home
  • Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere around home
