About The Role
Join Our Caring Community at Wickmeads!
Location: Wickmeads Care Home, 2 Wickmeads Rd, Tuckton, Bournemouth BH6 4LG
Pay: £12.85 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working
Shift Pattern: Flexible working hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, to be agreed with the Home Manager at interview in line with business needs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Wickmeads, our stunning purpose built residential and dementia care home situated in Tuckton, Bournemouth.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
- Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
- Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
- Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.
Who are we looking for:
- Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!
- A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.
- Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
