About The Role
Hours: Part Time
Shift: 10.00 am to 15.00 hrs (with alternate weekend working)
Pay rate: £12.85 per hour - Plus paid travel & mileage.
Care South, a leading not for profit registered charity, have exciting opportunities for a Community Housekeeping Assistant to join our Bournemouth service working in Bournemouth and the local areas. This community-based role will be supporting clients within their own home with a variety of needs including shopping and companionship visits alongside cleaning and domestic duties. You may also need to escort our clients to appointments or into the community.
It is essential that all applicants hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Key duties include:
- Identifying the needs and abilities of our clients
- Cleaning and domestic duties
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Providing companionship
- Supporting with community visits (shopping and leisure trips)
- Regular communications with the office support team

About you:
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential as Care South provide full training
- Ideally holder of a driving licence with access to a vehicle
- Business insurance on vehicle or happy to obtain it
- Flexible in the hours you can work able to work every other weekend
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Holder of an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake
