As a Home Care Assistant you will help service users overcome mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including assisting with aids and personal equipment. Tasks include domestic duties such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes. You will assist with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements, help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks, and support with administering medication. You may contribute as needed to a person's end-of-life care.
Responsibilities
- Assist service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including use and care of aids and personal equipment.
- Perform domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes.
- Assist with personal care, such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements.
- Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
- Support with administering medication.
- Contribute as needed to a person's end-of-life care.
Requirements
- Have a right to work within the UK.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
- No previous experience is necessary, but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care.

Location and Opportunities
We are expanding our current Domiciliary Health Care Assistant teams in our Derbyshire Branch. Areas include: Chapel-en-le-Frith, Hope, Whaley Bridge, Chinley (and surrounding areas). We have opportunities for both full-time and part-time care worker positions available. Usual shift patterns include: mornings 7am/8am/9am-1.30pm/2pm; evenings 4pm-10pm; alternate weekends.
