We have an excellent opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team. This part‑time position is based in Rushden.
- Shift Patterns
- Monday: 8:30am - 9:30am, 12:30pm - 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 8am - 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am - 9:30am, 1pm - 4:30pm
- Alternate Fridays: 4pm - 10pm
- Alternate Weekends Saturday: 8am - 9:30am
- Alternate Weekends Sunday: 7am - 2:30pm

Job Description
As a Home Care Worker, you’ll provide life‑changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping service users overcome any mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including helping with the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
- Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes.
- Supporting service users to access and be a part of the local community, including attending appointments, events and social activities where needed.
- Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
- Support with administering medication.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Supporting with catheter care.
- Assisting with PEG-J care following individual care plans and training provided.
- Administering and supporting with seizure medication as required.
- Supporting service users with shopping and running errands.
- Completing household tasks to help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Accompanying service users to appointments.
- Supporting participation in sports, hobbies and recreational activities.
- Delivering tailored, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing.
Requirements
- Right to work within the UK.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. Must be able to drive a manual car and a WAV (wheelchair access vehicle).
- Experience in this role is essential. Must demonstrate real compassion, excellent communication and problem solving, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care.
