We are looking for Health Care Assistants to join our already established teams in the local communities of: Orchard Park, Compass Road, Bricknell, Cottingham Road, The Avenues, Beverley High Road, Beverley Road (surrounding areas).
We have positions available for care workers, working shift patterns of:
- Day positions working usual shifts of 7am - 3pm
- Evening positions working usual shifts of 3pm - 10pm
All staff are required to work alternate weekends. You’ll provide life-changing care and support that enables vulnerable adults of all ages to live fulfilling lives in their own homes.
Job Description
- Helping service users overcome any mobility problems
- Support with administering medication
- Domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry and emptying commodes
- Help with eating and drinking by preparing meals, snacks and drinks
- Assist service users with personal care such as washing, bathing and toilet arrangements
- Assist with problems and other physical disabilities, including helping in the use and care of aids and personal equipment
- Contribute as needed to a person’s end-of-life care
Requirements
- Have a right to work within the UK
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for this role
- No previous experience is necessary but you will need to demonstrate real compassion, be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and be committed to delivering high-quality, respectful care
