About the role

Would you like to be part of a successful and motivated team that helps older people to remain living independently in their own homes? Care & Repair Cardiff and the Vale is a charity that exists to support older people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to repair, adapt and maintain their homes to enable them to live as independently as possible with increased safety, security, warmth and comfort. We are currently seeking a motivated and organised individual to manage and lead a team to deliver a high-quality, confidential and client-centred information and advice service, and coordinate central business support across the organisation, in line with our mission and values.

Role Summary:

  • Salary: £32,080 per annum
  • Location: office-based at our Cardiff office
  • Full Time: 35 hours per week
  • Interview date: Wednesday 30th September

The information and advice service is the agency’s core and first point of contact, managing enquiries from clients, stakeholders and partner agencies.

The role:

  • Lead and provide a comprehensive initial advisory, signposting and referral service to older people.
  • Contribute to the operational management team, driving service excellence, delivery of the business plan, effective communication and a strong team culture.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and support to the team, ensuring consistent, accurate, impartial and comprehensive service delivery in line with our values.
  • Drive consistency and standards across the team so that services meet all relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for client queries or concerns the team cannot resolve at first contact.
  • Coordinate central business-support functions across the organisation, including enquiries, events, room bookings, stock, compliance support, and secretariat support to the Senior Leadership Team.
