We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and committed Responsible Individual to provide strategic leadership, governance, and regulatory oversight for our Children’s Residential Home. The Responsible Individual will ensure that the service operates in full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, including the Quality Standards, and meets all Ofsted requirements.
They will hold accountability for ensuring effective safeguarding practices, high-quality care delivery, and continuous service improvement. Acting as the key link between the Registered Provider, Ofsted, and the Registered Manager, the post holder will provide robust oversight and challenge to ensure the home is safe, well-led, and delivering positive outcomes for children.
They will support and monitor the Registered Manager to maintain high standards of care, promote a child-centred approach, and ensure the home remains compliant and inspection-ready at all times.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience within children’s residential care, including a strong working knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance systems. They will demonstrate effective leadership, professional curiosity, and the ability to drive improvement and maintain high standards across the service.
