Grade: £34,890 (National) or £40,746 (London) – additional homeworking allowance of £600 per annum when working from home.

Contracted Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term/Secondment for six months. Extension may be considered if funding becomes available.

Location: Home‑based with occasional visits to CQC offices

As a Business Change Officer, you’ll play an important role to promote and deliver a wide range of changes that are both diverse and complex, with a strong focus on the people side of change.

The role:

  • Provide support for business change activities: Assist the Business Change Manager by providing administrative support, facilitating and leading meetings and workshops, and contributing to key business change activities and deliverables, using and championing recognised business change best practice and standards.
  • Lead discrete activities and initiatives: Take ownership of smaller business change initiatives and activities, working autonomously to ensure successful delivery.
  • Understand stakeholders’ impact: Analyse and consider the impact on stakeholders to improve adoption and engagement.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with multiple teams to ensure outcomes are understood, planned, developed, and delivered, supporting a successful transition to new ways of working through activities such as project delivery, learning, communications, and engagement.
  • Engage stakeholders effectively: Build and maintain professional relationships with delivery partners and key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Show Us: We will be looking for specific skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:

  • Solid experience in business change delivery, techniques and methodologies: You have experience leading smaller business change initiatives with the ability to recognise, understand and manage change resistance and an understanding of how people go through change and the change process. You have experience supporting larger or cross‑functional programmes and projects, using and championing recognised business change techniques and methodologies, best practice and standards.
  • Data collection and analysis: Able to gather and analyse data, think creatively (‘outside the box’), and translate findings into clear, engaging presentation material.
  • Collaborative approach: Working with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication skills: You have effective communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • IT skills: Able to use PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI and Power Framework effectively.
