The predicted salary is between 34890 - 40746 £ per year.

Homebased - Flexible, United Kingdom

Grade C: £34,890 (National) or £40,746 (London for London office based or homebased workers within the boundary of the M25). There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £600 per annum for those working from home. For part time roles please note this will be pro rata.

Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week. Talk to us about flexible working or compressed hours.

Contract Type: Fixed term for 12 months to deliver project work within an evolving programme.

As an Analyst in the Local Authority Assessment team, you’ll help turn data into insight that strengthens how local authorities support people in their communities.

Picture this: Imagine joining a team where your analysis helps shine a light on how well local services support people who draw on care. Every day, you’ll turn complex information into clear stories that help CQC understand what is working well and where change is needed. As an Analyst in the Local Authority Assessment team, you might get the chance to design bespoke data collection projects that give CQC the evidence it needs when existing data sources don’t.

You will also help shape local authority assessments by producing insight that supports annual reviews and informs decisions.

The role: You’ll be key in helping us deliver our work. In this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver insight products: Create clear, meaningful reports and visualisations that help colleagues understand data and use it in assessments.
  • Support effective data use: Help colleagues use self-serve insight tools, promote good data practices, and guide stakeholders on choosing the right data and methods.
  • Provide high quality analysis: Bring together information from different sources, carry out robust analysis, and ensure quality assurance across all outputs.

Show us: We’ll be looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:

  • Experience analysing data: Show us how you have used quantitative and qualitative techniques to explore data, solve problems and communicate findings in a clear way.
  • Experience preparing and managing data: Tell us how you have cleaned, organised or modelled data to make it ready for use, including selecting the right approaches or tools.
  • Experience creating insight for different audiences: Demonstrate how you have tailored insight through reports, visualisations or storytelling to meet the needs of colleagues, leaders or other stakeholders.
