The aims of the Transport Service are to provide safe, accessible and efficient transport means to vulnerable people in order that they can participate in the services offered by Day Opportunities for vulnerable people throughout North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding area., You will undertake the day to day management of a team of transport staff, delivering a comprehensive and professional service, ensuring all Health and Safety regulations and Road Traffic legislation are adhered to in relation to transportation and vehicle safety. You will be required to drive vehicles as and when needed. You will co‑coordinate the vehicle rounds and staffing ensuring that these meet the needs of the customers and are safe, accessible and efficient. You will allocate work to staff, including setting priorities, timescales and targets. You will undertake supervision meetings and Performance Reviews. You will address day to day staffing issues e.g. performance, capability, as they arise. Approve and monitor staff leave and sickness absence and take action as appropriate.
Qualifications
- D1 driving entitlement
- Level 4 qualification in Leadership, Business Management, logistics or similar related discipline
- Experience of supervising and recruitment and selection of staff
- Experience of working within a transport environment
- Effective IT skills including use of M365 applications
- Working knowledge of Drivers Working Hours, Health and Safety Regulations, Road Traffic legislation
