Overview
Excellent communication skills are required using a variety of methods e.g. Signalong/Makaton to overcome barriers to understanding ensuring continued liaison with Service Users, their carers and families. Responsibilities
- Promote, support and improve the mental, physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable people to help them participate in their communities and with their families, and enjoy the best life possible.
- Support vulnerable people to remain living in their own homes where possible.
- Ensure that service users can participate in and help steer the services required, considering their specific needs.
- Enable service users to make informed decisions and facilitate access to services across the health, social and voluntary sectors.
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience of caring for people in either an employment or voluntary capacity for a minimum of 1 year.
