Community Inpatient Unit provides Rehabilitation, Re-ablement and recovery interventions for adults in North East Lincolnshire. The service will promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admissions and premature admissions to long-term care, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living wherever possible. Multi-professional staff will collaborate with individuals to ensure they achieve their full potential in terms of their level of independence, health, and wellbeing.
Main duties of the job:
- Perform advanced therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.
- Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes.
- Manage own caseload and a defined area of service, working without direct supervision.
- Supervise, educate and assess students, assistants and junior staff.
- Provide specialised advice/training to other health care professionals in the specific clinical area.
- Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice.
- Make recommendations to clinical leads/manager of service changes to practice.
- May lead the implementation of specific changes to or contribute to the development of service protocols.
