CPG's Community Inpatient Unit (CIU) Rehab, Re-enablement and Recovery unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. Its a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and care staff. We provide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery and regain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safely and with any additional support in place.

Main duties of the job
- Base: Community Inpatient Unit, Grimsby
- Hours: 36 hours, Permanent
- Rota pattern: Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.
Working under the direction of the shift manager, you will ensure the provision of an effective cleaning and infection control service to all areas of Community Inpatient Unit, North East Lincolnshire's Enhanced Recovery Unit. You will be part of a team responsible for the housekeeping services within this busy inpatient unit. This will include tasks such as window cleaning, cleaning of floors, stairs, furniture, fixtures and fittings ensuring a high level of cleanliness at all times in compliance with CQC regulations and standards. Other duties will be the preparation of soiled bed linen and towels to be sent to external laundry services; disposal of clinical and domestic waste and the use of specialist equipment in compliance with manufacturers' instructions.
You will hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and NVQ Level 2 certificate in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent level of knowledge and have at least one year's experience of working in a domestic role or setting. You must be able to work flexibly as part of a rota to cover weekends and bank holidays.
