CPG's Community Inpatient Unit (CIU) Rehab, Re-enablement and Recovery unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. It is a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and care staff. We provide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery and regain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safely and with any additional support in place.
Responsibilities:
- Part of a team responsible for the housekeeping services within this busy inpatient unit, including window cleaning, cleaning of floors, stairs, furniture, fixtures and fittings, ensuring a high level of cleanliness at all times in compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
- Prepare soiled bed linen and towels to be sent to external laundry services; dispose of clinical and domestic waste; use specialist equipment in compliance with manufacturers' instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness in accordance with applicable health and safety and infection prevention protocols.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 certificate in Cleaning and Support Services or equivalent level of knowledge.
- At least one year of experience working in a domestic role or setting.

- Hours: 32 per week
- Contract: Permanent
- Rota pattern: Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays
- Salary: Range 2 £22,627 (under 21) / £24,735 (21 & over) pro rata per annum
