The Community Cardiology Service is designed to provide focused cardiovascular clinics, offer improved quality, and speed of diagnosis and to reduce the burden on acute care. The main clinical areas include heart failure, atrial fibrillation, hypertension and open access echocardiography.

Main duties of the job

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Department: Community Cardiology

Location: Weelsby View Health Centre, Ladysmith Road, Grimsby

20 hours per week, permanent

Monday to Thursday (actual working days/hours to be negotiated)

Salary Range 3 Point 12 £24,968 pro rata per annum – fixed salarypoint

You will be responsible for the general administration duties of the Community Cardiology Team including being the main point of contact for service users, dealing with referrals, booking appointments, liaising with clinical staff, communicating between primary and secondary care, and general clerical duties such as stock management, post, meeting arrangements.

You must hold business administration qualifications, have a minimum of six months experience of a reception role, have great customer care skills, and ideally be experienced with SystmOne and Cardiology terminology and procedures.
