Radiology Aide Front Office in Warwick

Primary Function
Responsible for receiving patients and processing patient records for the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and places orders for testing into the computer system if necessary.
• Transports patients to dressing area if needed and contacts appropriate departments when patient has arrived.
• Coordinates patient arrival for diagnostic imaging, special procedures, cardiac cath, and technical services.
• Uploads/downloads imaging CDs at requests and works with HIS to ensure patient results are distributed appropriately.
• Distributes reports to physician offices and other medical facilities upon request and in the manner requested (fax, mail, courier).
• Coordinates prior reports/images as required (films, files, CD, reports).
• Coordinates follow-up appointments or verbal orders from physician offices.
• Prints and reviews daily schedules for patient testing.
• Stocks and organizes dressing rooms for patients.
• Assists technologist with patient movement when required.
• Coordinates appropriate paperwork for Radiologists on off hours for other XRA sites to be read.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications
A High School diploma required. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
