Primary Function
Responsible for preparing food for dining room and for patients under the direction of the Cook II/Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and cooling of foods using standardized recipes, production sheets and HACCP Records under the supervision of a cook.
- Prepare and cook food on grill.
- Serves and plates meals for patient services.
- Control quantity and quality of foods used on a daily basis by taking inventory daily and ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintains high standards of food handling and cleanliness in the work area.
- Responsible for cleaning production area prior to end of shift.
- Responsible for maintaining principles of proper food production and other related activities.
- Assists with catered events for food preparation and service.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Vocational/technical training and a minimum of one year’s job‑related experience required.
- Must be able to follow directions, both oral and written.
- Must be able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, and keep simple records.
- Proficiency in the English language required.
