Primary Function: Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Hospital staff, patients and visitors as well as ensuring the physical security of all Hospital buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with visitors, patients and staff in a professional courteous manner.
  • Observe and enforce all hospital policies, rules and regulations.
  • Observe visitors and patients. Manage any unusual circumstances or difficulties.
  • Maintain visitor control inside and outside of the hospital.
  • Assist with Codes and Stats.
  • Restrain patients when needed and watch for future disturbances.
  • Conduct routine door checks.
  • Maintain logs and reports.
  • Monitor cameras and alarms as needed.
  • Follow emergency procedures for bomb threats code 99 or helicopter pad landings.
  • Make emergency deliveries or pick-up of medication, organs and blood and provide vehicle transportation for patients, visitors and employees as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications: A high school diploma and a minimum of six months job‑related experience or equivalent are preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
