The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
Responsible for good customer service, contributing to the patients overall successful interaction with the office. Answers telephone and directs calls as appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Checks patients in and out. Verifies demographic information via the computer and practice management system, scanning the insurance card, collecting appropriate copayments/deductibles, obtaining necessary signatures and paperwork and making follow up appointments
2. Answers front desk telephones and directs calls as appropriate.
3. Prints schedules and superbills for next-day provider visits.
4. Batches out at the end of the shift. Coordinates superbills, checking charge slips and verifies copays with cash collected. Maintain an accurate daily log of exams performed.
5. Sorts mail/packages presented to the front desk and directs to appropriate source: disperses any incoming faxes to the appropriate source.
6. Perform all other related duties as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma required.
Minimum of six months job related experience or equivalent is required.
Ability to deal with and maintain confidential information.
Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to calculate and collect cash transactions.
Must possess good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills and ability to deal effectively with staff, physicians and patients in a courteous manner.
