Overview
Care Matters Homecare provides domiciliary care services to individuals in their own homes. As a Home Care Assistant you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised care to individuals in their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, adhering to any dietary requirements outlined in care plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Skills and Requirements
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and their families.
- Experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.

Full or Part Time hours available.
- Part time shifts required 07:00 – 10:00 / 16:00 – 22:00 Monday – Sunday (Alternate weekends required)
- Full time shifts required 07:00 – 15:00 / 15:00 – 22:00 Monday – Sunday (Alternate weekends required)
An enhanced DBS will be required on successful interview.
