The Communications Officer will play an exciting role in the transformation of the Communications & Brand Team. They’ll work with colleagues to bring to life powerful stories of change being made by women through CARE projects around the world and support us to respond when crisis hits through creative communications and a smooth internal operation.
The postholder will put their skills to work across the communications mix with a wide variety of teams in CARE International UK and globally, providing a truly unique opportunity to develop skills in all areas and really get to know the vital work of the organisation. No two days will look the same as they support with everything from writing and updating messaging, helping organise events, editing videos and undertaking research.
About you
Firstly, you’ll be an excellent written and verbal communicator. You’ll be a self-starter, someone willing to learn new things, get involved with different projects and work at pace. You’ll have a broad blend of skills across communications, design, and digital and you’ll put these to use across copywriting, supporting with social media and the website, and designing and editing content. As someone who takes initiative, you excel at managing your time, knowing how to prioritise the work that’s most important and impactful, whilst keeping stakeholders updated.
