About the role

We are looking for an Information Governance Assistant to join the Information Governance (IG) team. You will play a key role in supporting the IG team to deliver their Improvement Plans for the Digital and Hard Copy records as well as learning more about the statutory requests we must service and assisting us in meeting the prescribed deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the IG team at the Care Inspectorate as we continue to define processes and policies which will help the organisation to improve and embed their understanding of Information Governance. The role will require engagement with external partners and Regulators, as well as stakeholders from across the organisation and will therefore provide a good understanding as to how the Care Inspectorate works at all levels.

The duties for this role include:

  • IG Meeting and diary arrangements
  • Secretariat for IG team and meetings
  • Monitoring the IG inbox
  • Logging and recording material in Onetrust
  • Responding to enquiries
  • Requesting and scheduling material to support statutory and other requests
  • Supporting the Hard Copy contract.

About you

You should be educated to SCQF level 6 or have the relevant skills and experience for this role. You should also have or be willing to work towards the FOISA Practitioner certificate. You can find more about SCQF Level 6 on their website. You will provide critical support to a highly motivated team of Information Governance professionals ensuring the maintenance and improvement of our information governance and data protection programme. You will have excellent planning, organisation and communication skills and enthusiasm to match. We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in a support role who may be looking for a new development opportunity within the specialist area of information governance and compliance.

Starting salary

New employees start at the minimum salary for the grade. However, we offer a generous benefits package.
