Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
At Care in Mind, our homes are active environments where young people feel safe, and staff enjoy coming to work. You will interact with young people at night, supporting their wellbeing, education, household tasks, and general life skills. The role includes incident management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours, updating online care records, completing medication administration, and providing effective handovers to day staff. You will ensure the home is tidy and homely.
You will work with young people who have diagnosed eating disorders and various mental health diagnoses, supporting them through their eating complexities, including meal support and documentation. You will also assist in managing incidents of self-harm and other risk-taking behaviours. Some young people may have physical health concerns requiring close monitoring.
Our young people engage in various activities, ensuring a dynamic work environment. Previous care experience is not essential as full training will be provided, along with ongoing support and mentoring from our friendly residential and clinical team.

- Experience: Understanding of issues faced by young people and experience of working in a team.
