Contract: Permanent, Part time (33 hours per week available)
Salary: £28,808.78 - £29,709.68 per annum based on experience (Pro Rata for part time hours)

Job overview:
- Must be a driver with a Full UK manual driving licence (automatic not accepted).
- Shift pattern: 8.30pm – 7.30am including weekends and some bank holidays.

Main duties of the job:
- Flexibility to work night shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
At Care in Mind, our homes are active environments where young people feel safe and staff enjoy working. You will interact with young people at night, supporting their wellbeing, education, household tasks, and general life skills. The role includes incident management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours, updating online care records, medication administration, and providing effective handovers to day staff. You will ensure the home is tidy and homely.
You will work with young people with various mental health diagnoses, requiring patience and resilience. Support includes improving relationships with food and managing incidents of self-harm. You will assist in their transition to independence through self-administering medication, re-engaging with education, and accessing public transport.
The home is a 5-bed service in an Edwardian building with spacious rooms and communal areas. You will work with an experienced staff team passionate about helping young people achieve their goals and move towards independence.
Previous care experience is not essential; full training will be provided along with ongoing support and mentoring from our friendly residential and clinical team.
Person specification:
