Key Responsibilities * 💊 Medication Administration: Safely administer oral medications (tablets, capsules, liquids) and specialized medications, including buccal administration and topical treatments. * 📋 MAR Sheet Management: Accurately complete, review, and update Medication Administration Records (MAR sheets), ensuring zero errors and clear documentation. * 🚨 Emergency Awareness: Recognise side effects, adverse reactions, or specific protocols related to specialized rescue medications (e.g., buccal midazolam). * 🤝 Personal Care: Assist with daily personal care needs, including washing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. * 🥗 Meal Support: Help with dining and hydration, assisting those who require extra support during mealtimes. * 💬 Engagement: Build positive relationships, encouraging participation in daily activities and social interaction. Requirements * 🫂 Proven Experience: Minimum of 6 months of professional care experience within the UK care/healthcare sector. * 📜 Medication Training: Valid, accredited Level 2 (or higher) Practical Medication Administration certificate with documented competency in specialized routes like buccal. * 🧠 Compassionate Approach: A patient, empathetic nature with a strong commitment to person-centred care. * 💪 Reliability: Dependable work ethic with a hands-on and flexible approach to working hours. * 📚 Valid Training: Up-to-date mandatory care training certificates, or a willingness to undergo training immediately. * 🛡️ Background Check: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one immediately).
