We are recruiting a Primary SEND Teacher to join a welcoming special needs primary school in Trafford from September 2026 . This is a full-time, long-term role teaching a Key Stage 2 class of pupils with complex learning needs.

Role: Primary SEND Teacher – Trafford

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for a permanent position)

Hours: Monday to Friday

Pay: £160–230 per day DOE – paid PAYE direct via Cover People.

The Role

Teach a KS2 class of pupils with complex learning needs.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
Pupils are working to EYFS level.
Create a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider SEND team.
Monitor progress and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching primary-aged pupils, ideally within SEND or specialist settings.
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to Work in the UK and two professional references.
