A reputable, family-run nursery in Cambridge is looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a team that truly cares about the development of children and their staff.
About the Role:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the daily activities and routines of the nursery. You will be working closely with children aged from babies to toddlers, helping them to develop essential skills in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. You’ll assist with creating and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring children’s well-being, and maintaining a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of educational and recreational activities for children
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Support children in their developmental milestones
- Maintain a clean and stimulating environment
- Communicate with parents and carers about their child’s progress and development
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Nursery Assistant or Nursery Practitioner is preferred but not essential
- A genuine passion for working with children
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification is essential for this role
- Candidates who are currently working towards or undergoing their NVQ Level 3 in Childcare are also welcome to apply
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
