We are seeking a motivated and dedicated fully qualified teacher to join our team on a part-time basis, working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Location: Nelson
Contract: Part-Time (every afternoon – Mon – Fri)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £130 - £150 per day (pro rata to half a day)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Cover PPA classes across KS1 and KS2
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Effectively support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEN
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and the wider school community
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
- A commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
