We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Community Care Workers to join a well-established care provider supporting people in their own homes across Guildford and the surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support in service users' own homes
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting where required
- Supporting with medication in line with care plans and training
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where needed
- Supporting service users with daily routines and household tasks
- Encouraging independence, choice and community involvement
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individual care plans and reporting any changes in needs
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records
- Working closely with families, colleagues and other professionals
- Following safeguarding, health & safety and infection-control procedures
- Supporting individuals to attend appointments and access the local community where required
About You
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable
- Compassionate, patient and respectful approach
- Reliable and committed to providing high-quality care
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car essential
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and bank holidays when required
