We are recruiting a HR Officer to join a growing organisation within the education technology sector. This is a varied HR role combining end-to-end recruitment, HR administration and people services, with the opportunity to play a key part in improving recruitment processes, employee experience and HR compliance. Hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy through to offer and onboarding.
  • Advertise roles, source and shortlist candidates and coordinate interviews.
  • Complete pre-employment and safer recruitment checks, including references, right-to-work and DBS checks where required.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage and monitor probation processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll information and liaise with payroll providers.
  • Produce HR reports and management information.
  • Provide first-line HR support to managers and employees, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
  • Support workforce planning, talent pools and recruitment initiatives.
  • Assist with HR projects, compliance and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and credible HR professional with experience across recruitment and HR administration. The ideal candidate will have:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualification, be working towards it, or have equivalent HR experience.
  • Strong recruitment and HR administration experience.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach to confidential information.
  • Good Microsoft Office and HR systems experience.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach.

Desirable: CIPD Level 5 or working towards, education sector experience, talent pooling, recruitment marketing or workforce planning experience.
