An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing transport operation in Sudbury. Working Monday to Friday on a day shift, you'll be responsible for maintaining a modern fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability. The Role

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Completing inspections and preventative maintenance work
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained to DVSA and company standards
  • Supporting MOT preparation and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records

The majority of work will be carried out on the company's own fleet, with occasional external customer work providing additional variety.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on trucks and trailers
  • Relevant qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
