We are recruiting on behalf of a children’s residential care provider for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a regulated children’s home delivering high‑quality, trauma‑informed care.
Full‑Time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive 55k – 65k
Location: Altringham, UK
This is an ideal opportunity for an Ofsted Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, with strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Registered Manager responsibility for a Children’s Residential Home
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Lead, manage, and develop a residential care staff team
- Deliver high‑quality, child‑centred, trauma‑informed care (including PACE)
- Act as safeguarding lead, managing risk assessments and behaviour support plans
- Liaise with Ofsted, Local Authorities, social workers, and external professionals
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, budgets, and the home environment
- Oversee inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting
Essential Requirements
- Experience as a Registered Children’s Home Manager or Deputy Manager
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practice
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent / working towards)
- Proven leadership and people‑management skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including on‑call duties
