Care First Recruitment LTD are currently recruiting Senior Practitioners for various London Borough PURPOSE: Senior Practitioners are required to work closely with Social Work Units, in-house foster carers and external providers to identify quality placements and accommodation for looked after children, care leavers and other young people in need of support and accommodation Boroughs include – Hackney, Royal Borough of Greenwich & London Borough of Redbridge HOURS: 36 hours per week DUTIES: Work alongside the Placements Social Worker and Fostering Support Units to identify in-house foster carers. Respond to referrals from Social Work Units Examine reports on potential carers for looked after children in order to judge their suitability Ensure placements for looked after children obey with National Minimum Standards and Ofsted requirements Secure the best service choices for children and young people whilst ensuring value for money for the Council Support in the quality assurance monitoring of the service provision Collect, collate and present referral and monitoring data in order to support the strategic decision-making process Ensure compliance to contractual terms and conditions Be aware of potential areas for complaints- Liaising with the Senior Placements Officer, Strategic Resource Manager and other relevant managers on matters arising through the complaints procedure. Promote the security, confidentiality and accuracy of records and information systems ESSENTIALS: Must have a degree in Social work, DipSW or CQSW Current registration with HCPC Must have an enhanced DBS Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role JBRP1_UKTJ
