The Role
As a Driver, you will safely transport service users to and from care centres, schools, and other community locations. Working as part of a professional transport team based at the central depot in Dunstable, you will provide a vital door-to-door service while ensuring passengers feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport service users to and from designated locations.
- Assist passengers when boarding and exiting vehicles.
- Operate tail-lifts and safely handle wheelchairs and mobility equipment where required.
- Provide a reliable door-to-door transport service.
- Support passengers with dignity, patience, and respect.
- Promote the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of passengers throughout their journey.
- Work collaboratively with Passenger Assistants, Transport Officers, and the wider transport team.
- Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain high standards of service.
